How to Upload/Download Documents into your Sharefile Portal

Updated: Feb 2, 2023

Whether you use Reach CPA for your bookkeeping, your business year-end, personal taxes, or all three there will come a time when you need to send us files or you would like us to send you documents. Now of course you could drop your documents off to us in person (bonus points if you bring coffee!) but there is a more convenient way.

We use Sharefile to safely share documents with our clients. When you become a client of Reach CPA we set up a secure portal for you to upload and download documents. Once that portal is set up, you will receive an email informing you that a folder has been created and you have been given access to it. We will also send you an email to let you know we've put something in your folder.

If you do not see the email in your main inbox, check your spam folder.

Within that email, you will be informed that we have created a portal for your business or personal documents and be prompted to either create an account and password or login. We have a blog post showing how to create your account here.

Simply click the link and log in.

Once you have accessed the portal you will see your folder and any documents that we may have uploaded for you to access. To upload your files click the little blue + symbol and select upload from the dropdown menu. Find the document on your computer (or drag and drop the file into the box). Click the UPLOAD button, and you're done.

Your Sharefile portal will look something like this.

To download documents simply click the file, then click the download button from the preview screen. Easy. As. Pie.
