Based out of the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Reach CPA is a cloud-based accounting firm that has staff and clients situated across B.C.
With a remote team, it can be hard for a client to meet everyone and get to know them. We had each team member answer a few questions about themselves to give people an idea of who they are working with when they choose Reach CPA as their accounting firm.
Paul LaFleur
How long have you been working at Reach CPA?
I have been with Reach since mid-2019 when we were still a paper copy style firm and were named Duncan & Co. I joined while I was still in school at North Island College for my Bachelor’s of Business Administration.
What does your role entail?
I primarily work on clients' monthly bookkeeping by processing their transactions, making sure their bank feeds jive and continually working to improve the process. I also jump in on T1 preparation for individual tax returns, T4s for wages, T5s for investment income, and I’m looking to continue adding to my arsenal.
What is your favourite thing about living in the Comox Valley?
I love the wildlife, and the balance of nature everywhere around us. Especially the forests, the mountains, and the beaches being so close together.
What do you enjoy most about working at Reach CPA?
I enjoy working with the team, they’re always supportive and easygoing. I also enjoy being able to manage my own workflow and the time that I spend on projects.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I like to create art whenever I have free time. I carve wood, make furniture, paint on occasion, draw, make music and anything else that I feel drawn to.
